If you are looking for interactive things to do with your kids or other children you may have in the family that don't involve a TV or XBox you might want to check out
GeekDad. It's a pretty neat website. I'm all about activities that encourage creativity and cleverly disguise learning as fun.
For the most part these activities can be completed with a few inexpensive items and some reading material for the adult supervision. Here's a small sample of the type of projects available on the site.
- Model trains
- Painting with a 6 point perspective
- Ant farms
- Kite launched skydivers
- Electric model airplanes
- Build your own radio
The site is only a few months old, but they have a few more contributors now so I expect there to be a steadily increasing number of posts.
